Announcing the No Yolks National Noodle Month Contest Winners!
Thanks to all who participated in our first ever No Yolks National Noodle Month Contest! We were excited by your enthusiasm, intrigued by all the different recipes in which you use No Yolks, and pleased to hear that No Yolks is your favorite to use in a variety of ways – soups, casseroles, entrées, even plain with butter!
Additionally, we were fascinated to learn of all the many specific reasons you seek out No Yolks for your kitchen. For example,
- to help in a diet for a diabetic
- to keep in the refrigerator as a healthier snack for the kids
- for fancy, romantic dinners!
- for a loved-one recently diagnosed with heart disease to help lower the cholesterol in his diet
- because you find it to be the tastiest, most flexible and durable noodle on the market
- because you want a healthier alternative to rice and/or potatoes
- because the flavor and texture remind you of time spent in the kitchen with Mom or Grandma making homemade noodles
- and the list goes on…
We’re truly humbled by all the wonderful comments you had to make.
The winning entry was submitted by Angela of New Mexico. Angela’s essay rose to the top among all who read the entries. We felt her thoughtful writing and thorough answer to the assignment was the best in the bunch. We work hard to ensure our great brand is versatile, flexible, healthful, durable and family-friendly, and we felt she best captured the essence of No Yolks with clarity and sincerity.
Choosing just 10 additional winners was a bit more challenging as there were so many fantastic entries. GRAND PRIZE WINNER
No Yolks Noodles are no kidding the best pasta product out there. The versatility of this product is amazing. I’ve used them when creating a gourmet dinner for two with my husband. They are wonderful with a brown butter/portabella sauce served along side feta, Vidalia and pecan stuffed chicken breasts and roasted squash. I’ve served them to the kiddos as a mac n’ cheese and with butter and parmesan cheese (their favorite). The whole family enjoys the broad noodles or dumplings in homemade chicken noodle corn soup, or in our favorite chicken cordon bleu casserole. Also, No Yolks noodles heat up wonderfully the next day – they hold their texture and never get gummy. Another thing I appreciate about No Yolks Noodles is that they are 99% fat free. After giving birth to our third child three weeks ago, I appreciate a product that is healthy as well as tasty as I begin my journey to return to pre-pregnancy weight. Wow – a healthy food that is also a real comfort food – that’s hard to find! So that’s No Yolks Noodles – you are certainly one of the best family-friendly foods out there – No Kidding!

RUNNERS-UP (in no particular order)
I love using No Yolks noodles in my chicken soup. They keep their shape and don’t get mushy. We also love making stroganoff type of meals, pepper steak, and a chicken and veggie dish poured over the noodles. Since I am a first generation born in the US and my parents are of eastern European backgrounds, we use the noodles to make a cabbage and noodle dish for lent. As unusual as it sounds, mmm, it’s good.
Again the best part of the No Yolks is how they hold up and how tasty they are. So over the years I’ve adapted other recipes asking for rice or mashed potatoes to include the No Yolks instead. It has helped us with diet and watching our cholesterol. Thanks for making No Yolks delicious.

For my family, No Yolks means No Worries. I always have a few varieties in the pantry for an easy meal on busy nights. With No Yolks we don’t have to sacrifice taste for nutrition. We can enjoy delicious, healthy noodles that complement anything we serve with them. We often substitute them for rice or pasta, and they make it easy to pack and reheat leftovers. No worries about taste. No worries about nutrition. No worries about convenience. After all of the demands of the day, it’s nice to have dinner be one less thing to worry about.

No Yolks are the best – they taste great, retain their shape and texture no matter what you put them in and my family loves them. It’s great to find a product that you can feed your family without guilt about nutritional and health risks. My husband has cholesterol issues and I want my children to develop good eating habits now, not when health becomes a factor. I love my husband. He loves my cooking. But recently, he had a heart attack. A diabetic, he’s already limited foods he loves. Knocking more off the menu makes it hard for him to adjust to the diet his doctor wants him to follow.
Luckily, with No Yolks, he doesn’t have to give up things like my beef stroganoff and creamy chicken soup. No Yolks makes it not just possible, but easy for me to make simple adjustments to family favorites and still put something that is both heart-healthy and delicious on the table.

No Yolks, an interesting brand name, but one I have grown to love. Traditionally ordering only egg whites with morning meals, discovering a yolk-less egg noodle was an astonishing find. While their uses may be diverse, surely none can surpass their intended purpose, to be delicious. It is true masterful dishes can be prepared with the aid of your marvelous noodle, but the mark of a fantastic noodle, is its ability to stand brilliantly alone, a rare feet in the realm of noodledom. I buy no other than No Yolks noodles for making my weekly batch of homemade soup. These are the only noodles that I have found that do not loose their texture whether they are over cooked, frozen, reheated from frozen or left sitting in liquid for days while waiting to be consumed. I have previously tried other products for soup and all fail once they come out of the freezer. They become mushy and ruin the soup completely. Now I buy no other brands and if I am out of “No Yolks” noodles, I will not make my weekly batch of soup for school and work lunches. My child loves the noodles so much that I have to put extra in the soup for her lunches as she would be happy with just a thermos full of noodles with a little broth. Please never stop making them, I would be lost as they compliment and finish off my soup perfectly.

I enjoy the goodness and healthiness of No Yolks because my daughter is a pasta fanatic. She has characteristics of diabetes and her pediatrician recommended that I teach her the importance of a healthy lifestyle. My family has a history of health-related difficulties. Therefore, I was not shocked! I personally have struggled with the “weight rollercoaster” and diabetes for years. No Yolks is a healthy alternative that helps me create tasty variations without a lot of guilt.
I use them for cold and hot pasta dishes. They are great with chicken, seafood, and vegetables. I often add pesto, Alfredo, or make a chicken and dumpling-style entrée. I have worked in the restaurant business for years and LOVE to cook. Thanks for a great product and an opportunity to share my comments.

As an endurance athlete, I use No Yolks as my long pre-training sessions and pre-race meal. No Yolks gives me the energy without the bloated carb feeling of other pastas. The extra protein and iron is beneficial for my muscles.
A lot of times, we will pre-cook the noodles and bring them to races. The noodles never stick together and always stay fresh. Also No Yolks fits into any recipe. It’s hard to get burnt out on them, which allows my mind to stay focused on training and racing. My favorite combination is No Yolks with Buitoni’s Alfredo sauce with crab classic, along with just about any vegetable!

I love them because they are so easy to cook and versatile. From Sunday dinners to a quick weeknight meal, I can always rely on No Yolks to keep everyone in my family happy and healthy.
One of my favorite No Yolks recipes is simple, but a big hit in my house! I just melt some margarine in a non-stick pan. Then, I add some minced garlic, a cup or two of cooked No Yolks noodles, 1-2 cups of low fat ricotta cheese, kosher salt and pepper to taste. Sprinkle with chopped fresh parsley. Excellent, healthy, and tasty! All from one healthy package of No Yolks noodles!
